48 Wharf Road The Bolinas Museum is a private, non-profit organization funded by membership support, private donations, and granting organizations. Museum programming is made possible in part by grants from the Marin Community Foundation, the Stinson/Bolinas Community Fund, the Sellon Family Fund, the Jenifer Altman Foundation, the Outrageous Foundation, the Fullerton Family Fund, and the James Irvine Foundation. |
About The Wintersteen Courtyard The sound of falling water and bird song make the courtyard a lovely place to pause and watch the light change on the stone fountain. Courtyard events can include musical performances, literary readings, symposiums, workshops, drama, dance, and other events such as the reunion for descendents of original Bolinas families and Bolinas Farm Day. Every two months there is an opening reception for the new museum exhibitions where visitors and artists, community members and friends gather. Courtyard events are open to the public and free of charge except for the occasional fundraising party.
